4th Man Veterans Foundation
Honoring Our Heroes in the Great Outdoors
Empowering disabled veterans with outdoor adventures that restore body, mind, and spirit.
Our Mission
Founded by veterans who understand the challenges and triumphs of service, our nonprofit honors and supports combat and disabled veterans. These veterans are among the most capable, selfless, and resilient humans on earth.
We take men and women on challenging backcountry hunting trips to reconnect them with their service-honed skills, promote healing through wilderness demands, and reignite purpose and brotherhood.
Our Why
Many veterans struggle to readjust to civilian life, facing ongoing anxiety, chronic stress, irritability, and social isolation. Veterans die by suicide at a rate of about 35 per 100,000 annually. This is roughly twice the rate for non-veteran adults. This number underscores the ongoing post-service battles they fight. Mental health conditions are one of the VA's fastest-growing service-connected disability categories, with over 2.8 million veterans receiving benefits for issues like PTSD, depression, and anxiety, often involving multiple co-occurring diagnoses.
2.8 million veterans are service connected for mental health challenges including PTSD, depression and adjustment disorder.
18 veterans die by suicide per day.
Veterans participating in group outdoor experiences report over 29% reduction in PTSD symptoms, 21% decrease in general stress and 10% improvement in social relationships.
Get Involved
We operate entirely on the generous donations of proud Americans who stand with our veterans and believe in honoring their sacrifice through real, life-changing experiences.
Your gift sends combat and disabled veterans on transformative hunting trips, serving as a powerful pathway to renewal, resilience, and reconnection. Every dollar funds gear, guides, travel, and access to remote wilderness.
